What weight poker chips should I buy?

Casino-standard poker chips weigh 10g–14g. HEITOK's standard sets use 11.5g chips with a double injection iron core — the same weight as professional casino chips. The heavier clay sets weigh 14g, preferred by serious players for their authentic feel and satisfying sound when stacked.

For most home games, 11.5g is the perfect choice: durable, affordable, and indistinguishable from the real thing.

What is the difference between clay and composite poker chips?

Clay chips (14g) use a clay-composite material for a premium matte texture, authentic casino feel, and a satisfying "click" when stacked. Best for serious players who want the closest thing to a real casino.

Composite chips (11.5g) use an iron-core injection process — highly durable, more affordable, and nearly indistinguishable from casino chips for home play. Great for regular games, gifts, and families.

How many poker chips do I need?
  • 2–4 players: 100–200 chips
  • 4–6 players: 300 chips
  • 6–9 players: 500 chips
  • 9–10 players (tournament): 600–1000 chips

Rule of thumb: each player needs at least 50 chips for comfortable play with room to rebuy.

What chip denominations should I use?

For a standard home game, use: $1 (white), $5 (red), $25 (green), $100 (black), $500 (purple). HEITOK sets come pre-denominated with printed labels — no stickers needed.

All HEITOK chips are 1.5 inches (38mm) in diameter — the standard casino size. They are compatible with all standard poker chip holders, trays, and cases.

Do HEITOK chips come with playing cards?

Yes — most 300-piece and larger sets include 2 decks of playing cards, 5 dice, and dealer/blind buttons. Everything you need for a complete home game, ready to go.

Are HEITOK poker chips waterproof?

The aluminum carrying case is sealed and water-resistant. The chips are made of iron-core composite and will not absorb moisture, but prolonged submersion is not recommended.

Can I mix chips from different HEITOK sets?

Yes. All HEITOK standard line chips share the same diameter (1.5") and weight (11.5g), so they can be freely combined across sets and colors.
